COTO DE CAZA, California -- Austin Reed, driver of the #514 Ringers Gloves, RBP, Headblade.com, Approved Memory, Pimphats.com, thenfactorpics.com Modified Kart is gambling on a good run this weekend in Primm, Nevada in the popular CORR closed circuit off road series.
Austin is looking forward to a great weekend run as he had a lot of fun running up front in the first two races of the season. He is sitting in fourth place in the points after two races. Austin commented “We just went to Pomona where we ran really well. I felt that at the Sunday race I had more in the truck than what it showed as I had some issues with the clutch not shifting when I wanted it to. I was really happy to bring home a 4th place given the minor mechanical issues.”
“The expected temperature in Primm this weekend will be a lot like it was in Pomona, really hot. I had my first ever CORR win at Primm at the end of last year so I really want to go back and race well there. I’ll be in a totally different truck and I would think they may even change up the track somewhat.”
Austin's outgoing personality has given him the opportunity to hook up with some really great companies as sponsors. This week we wanted to focus on Headblade.com as it is a really cool product made for shaving your head and head care line of products. My Dad uses a Headblade every day and he keeps asking me to shave my head too. I don’t think I can do it just yet. The Headblade is like a race car shaver for your head so it fits in great with our team marketing program. Check out headbalde.com for more information as well as Headblades involvement in St. Baldricks which is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer. For more info go to StBaldricks.org.
